Thank You for The Cross, without You I am lost!

I AM THE CROSS: Heart, Feet, Mind, Eyes, Blood

FOUNDATION:

Luke 9:23 - "Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me."

The Disciple's Cross provides an understanding of our opportunities and responsibilities as a disciple of Christ.

Minister To Others

John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

In completing MASTERLIFE - THE DISCIPLE'S CROSS - Book 1, I have learned that ministering to others requires that I put GOD first. I continue to build my relationship with The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.

I make commitments to deny myself and be with GOD daily. I must stay in prayer, reading, learning, and applying The Word.

There are several ways to minister: Intercession/worship, teaching/preaching, evangelism, and service.

To minister to others it requires the WHOLE BODY OF SELF to bring someone to the body of Christ.

Spend time with the Master Christ the Center (Center =Heart)

John 15:5 - “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

  • What can we do without a heart? NOTHING!! It is the center of our existence. It is how we survive! And having Christ as the Center is how we are to live.
  • The heart is the center of the body. It keeps all things functioning. Just as Christ is the center of our lives. When we place Him there and keep to His Word, ALL Things will function according to His Will for our lives.
  • We are nothing without Him. We need Christ to live, just as we need our hearts to survive. When the heart stops beating or stops loving Christ, IT IS OVER!!

WE ARE THE VINES THAT GROW FROM THE BRANCHES!

Live In The Word

(Word = Feet)

John 8:31-32 - "31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

  • Walking out GOD's Word takes ACTION (moving, doing)!
  • It is important to know GOD's Word, but the times comes when GOD's spirit whispers, "Never stop  learning about Me, but now its time for you to connect with Me?"  After we are filled with head knowledge, GOD wants us to place our feet on the ground and ACT.
  • He wants us to have a living faith that is undeniable to me and to all those He brings into my life. The walking part is important.
  • As James 1:22 shares: "But don't just listen to GOD's Word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourself."

Pray in Faith. Pray Like You Mean It!

(Prayer = Mind)

John 15:7 - "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

  • Prayer begins in the mind and filters thru the body and is released from the mouth.
  • It is our ministry to worship. Worship and prayer is where our relationship with Christ begins.
  1. In the mind is where we memorize The Word to be able to call on it when needed.
  • It is our way to communicate with GOD and Him communicating with us.

Witness To The World

(Witness = Eyes)

John 15:8 - "8This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

  • The Bible encourages us to remember that the world is watching and to conduct ourselves appropriately (1 Thess. 4:9-12; 1 Peter 2:12).
  • We are never to compromise the truth, but we are to live knowing that unbelievers do judge us and our religion by our deeds.
  • As we pray, build healthy relationships, show GOD's love by meeting needs, and introduce Jesus Christ, we will begin to experience the power, fruitfulness, and joy of being a witness for Christ.
  • To abide in Christ, we eventually bear fruit. We are to always witness to ourselves FIRST so that we know what the bearing fruit looks like.
  • We must see love, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faith, peace, joy, and self-control.
  • Always remember: SOMEONE IS ALWAYS WATCHING!

Fellowship with Believers

(Fellowship = The Blood)

John 13:34-35 - "34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

  • According to the scripture, fellowship is not an optional matter for believers. It says, "If we walk in the light [in fellowship with GOD]....this causes us to have fellowship with one another." And from the outcome of this fellowship, "the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7).
  • What does fellowship with the brethren have to do with cleansing us from sin? The Bible says "the life is in the blood" (Lev. 17:11). This is a fact, both biologically and spiritually.
  • The blood in our bodies is a cleansing agent which purges the toxins and bacteria in our system, and supplies oxygen to vital areas necessary for our survival.
  • In the event that a part of our body were to be severed from the flow of blood, the absence of blood circulation would cause that part to become infected - it would die. Survival is not possible without continual circulation of the blood.
  • For the blood of Jesus Christ to have its continual cleansing effect over our sins, we MUST remain attached to Christ's body.
  • If we sever fellowship with His body, we risk cutting off the circulation of the cleansing blood!
  • Salvation is based on faith, and is not earned by performing "works" such as attending Church. (Eph. 2:8-9).
  • Fellowship with Christ's body, the church, is critical in helping to sustain your faith by providing ministry, encouragement, and an atmosphere of spiritual "cleansing" and growth.

I am so Bossed about the Disciples Cross!

(created by Lynette W. using Book 1 study memory scriptures)

My heart has begun to defrost. My old self is being tossed! I'm no longer feeling lost!

What a revelation, when you can rebuke temptation by standing on the foundation of

Luke 9:23 - "Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up

their cross daily and follow me."

With Christ as the center, that keeps me alive as I live by

John 15:5 - “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

King, you jumpstart my heart, and because of that I will not depart. Your Word is true, as I speak verse

John 8:31-32 “To the Jews who believed him, JESUS said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples."

On my knees, I declare and decree, as I send My prayers to heaven, after reading verse

John 15:7 - "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."

In my witnessing, I will advocate, accommodate, accumulate, appreciate, communicate, cooperate, demonstrate, allocate, educate, motivate, translate, meditate, captivate, celebrate, elevate, penetrate, pollinate, populate, resonate, salivate, and will not underestimate verse

John 15:8 - "This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

In this walk, it's like no other.

As we begin to minister to one another, there is no in between and so we lean on verse

John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this; to lay down ones life for ones friend."

Oh LOVE Saints, what a great time to be alive as we Fellowship on verse

John 13:34-35 - "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

I am a LOVE AGENT!
